Mahlet Belay is a Junior Data Analyst in The Cloudburst Group’s Housing and Community Development practice area. She works at the Department of Housing’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS). At the SNAPS office, Ms. Belay works closely with e-SNAPS and Title V, as well as data analytics work on our Community Planning and Development Data Contract.
Ms. Belay graduated from Towson University, where she pursued a BS in Sociology and Anthropology with a concentration in Criminal Justice and International Studies, as well as a minor in Political Science. While at Towson, she worked with female inmates at the Baltimore County Detention Center; working on ways to improve the criminal justice system. Ms. Belay has also interned with various nonprofits, focusing on the education and well-being of refugee and low-income children.
