The Cloudburst Group Announces Co-Founder and President Patrick Moynahan to Retire

Washington, DC, November 18, 2016— The Cloudburst Group announced today that Co-Founder and President Patrick Moynahan will retire capping over 30 years of assisting organizations that provide services to socially and economically underserved persons. Over three years ago, Mr. Moynahan brought in Michelle Hayes as an owner and Executive Vice President to begin succession planning.  Ms. Hayes will become the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer and will be joined on the ownership team by the current Chief Financial Officer, J.P. Morgan, and Meggan Medina who will become Chief Operating Officer.

“We are excited about the path ahead for Cloudburst, staying true to our mission and commitment to integrity, respect, excellence and innovation,” said Michelle Hayes.

In 2005, Patrick Moynahan and Al Alvarez co-founded The Cloudburst Group with the intent of helping communities across the globe to provide people with a better life. “With our clients, we worked to find solutions to end homelessness; help families secure safe, quality, and affordable housing and overcome barriers to mainstream health services; and assist many communities and indigenous populations across the globe secure land and resource rights. We hoped to make a difference through helping our clients achieve greater efficiency and impact in their work,” said Mr. Moynahan.  While The Cloudburst Group lost Mr. Alvarez suddenly in 2010, “I think he would be proud of the progress we helped to create, and the vision for future success.”
