Center for Safety and Sustainability
Cloudburst's Center for Safety and Sustainability is the home of the firm's project portfolio in environmental compliance, development of health and safety guidance, and the economic analysis of environmental and safety regulations. The Center's clients include the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Europe and Eurasia Bureau of the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Cloudburst's Safety and Sustainability staff, including industrial hygienists, economists, environmental engineers and scientific writers, produce written guidance on health and safety procedures for a wide variety of audiences, support the assessment of compliance burdens on different size classes of enterprises, and conduct assessments of the environmental compliance of international development projects. The Center's experts also work closely with their colleagues in Housing and Community Development and Public Health, collaborating on cross-cutting issues such as smart growth, sustainable development, planning for healthy communities, promotion of safe built environments (e.g. lead hazard control, injury prevention), and public health aspects of environmental exposure.
